Love:
Our Greatest Joy and Hardest Work
Lenten Study
March 9 to April 13, 2025
6:00-7:15 PM
I John 4:16 tells us that "God is love" and I John 4 ends with the statement that "whoever loves God must also love his brother." Our culture is also fixated on "love". However, the emotional and temporary love that we see in the world around us is not the love that we see in the Bible. The love we are commanded to pursue is, at times, hard work and doesn't always make us feel good, at least in the short term, but it has eternal rewards. Join us for these four Sunday evenings as we discuss what it means to love God, our brother, and even our enemy.

This is not going to be a book study. Rather we will be using a devotional guide with five Scripture readings and thoughts for the week before each Sunday study.
-
We will meet from about 6 to 7:15 on Sunday evenings (except for 3/16 and 4/6 when there are a concerts scheduled at the church). We will have a short time of quieting our hearts with some music each week.
-
We will then discuss the thoughts that came out of the readings for the week.
-
The study can be available live on Zoom, contact Rob Willhoft if you are interested.
